4) Manufacturing and Heat Treatment

10) Common Risk Checklist (Do/Don’t)
1. Wrong general requirements: Using A450 where A1016 or A999 applies; pair the correct general requirement with each product standard.
2. Omitting duplex controls: No A923/G48 or ferrite range → pitting/SCC or brittleness risk.
3. Chloride service with 304/316 by default: For seawater/bleach/oxidizers, move to 2205/2507 or high-alloy austenitic; verify gasket/bolting compatibility.
4. Heavy-wall eccentricity unchecked: Specify eccentricity/ovality for thick sections to protect stress and weld fit-up.
