Water Treatment Steel ( Pipes & Steel Materials for Water Treatment Plants)

1) Overview

Water treatment plants (both potable water and wastewater) operate in environments involving continuous immersion, chloride-rich fluids, acidic/alkaline wastewater, disinfectants (chlorine, ozone, sodium hypochlorite), and sludge systems.
Pipes and structural steels must offer corrosion resistance, pressure resistance, chloride SCC resistance, and MIC resistance.
