• General requirements: ASTM A530∕ASME SA530 for carbon and low-alloy pipes; ASTM A999∕ASME SA999 for alloy and stainless pipes; ASTM A1016∕ASME SA1016 for boiler∕HX tubes.
• Size series: ASME B36.10M (carbon∕alloy pipes), ASME B36.19M (stainless pipes), EN ISO 1127 (stainless tubes), EN 10220 and ISO 4200 (general dimensions). Mill test certificates per EN 10204.

9. Risk Notes
• Do not swap “tubes” (A213∕A269∕A789) for “pipes” (A312∕API 5L).
• Always pair grade with its standard and size series.
• Freeze standard editions to lock P–T ratings.
• Declare NACE for H₂S wet service with hardness limits.
• Avoid 304∕316 in seawater; use duplex or nickel alloys.
• Sanitary requires ASME BPE and defined Ra.
• Cross-system joints require fit and strength checks.
