1. Overview & Supply Scope
• Definition: Hot-rolled or heat-treated steel plates, typical thickness 6–300 mm, width 1,500–4,500 mm, length 6–24 m. Delivery conditions include TMCP, Normalized (N), Normalized Rolled (NR), Quenched & Tempered (Q+T), and Solution Annealed (for stainless).
• Families: C-Mn and HSLA, pressure-vessel/boiler, Cr-Mo creep-resistant, low-temperature Ni steels, offshore/shipbuilding, line-pipe skelp plates, bridge/building structural, weathering, abrasion-resistant, stainless and duplex.

1. Pressure vessels & boilers

• Notes: Impact at −196 °C; CTOD (ISO 15653 or BS 7448) if required.
• Sizes/tests: 6–80 mm typical; 100% UT; weldability controlled by Pcm/Ceq.
3. Line-pipe skelp plates (for LSAW/UOE pipe making)
• Materials: API 5L PSL2/PSL3 (X52–X80 and above), ISO 3183, GB/T 9711 (L360–L555).
• Notes: DWTT, HIC (NACE TM0284), SSC (NACE TM0177) as specified; through-thickness properties optional.
• Sizes/tests: 12–50 mm typical, width 2,000–4,300 mm; TMCP or Q+T; UT class and lamellar-tearing resistance per PO.
4. Offshore structures & wind towers
• Materials: EN 10225 (S355G8/G10 M/ML, S420G2 M/ML), API 2W/2H (Grade 50/60/65), DNV offshore grades; wind towers use EN 10025-3/-4 (S355M/ML, S420M/ML, S460M/ML) or GB/T 1591 (Q355D/E, Q420D/E, Q460D/E).
• Notes: EN 10164 Z15/Z25/Z35 or ASTM A770; impact down to −40 °C; coating and Sa 2.5 blasting as required.

• Materials: A/SA-131 (A/B/AH36/DH36/EH36/EH40), GB 712; supply under ABS/LR/DNV/BV/CCS rules as needed.

7. Abrasion-resistant & weathering
• AR: GB/T 24186 (NM360/400/450/500/600); international AR grades (AR400/450/500) supplied to mill specs.

8. Stainless & duplex plates
• Materials: ASTM A240 (304/304L, 316/316L, 321, 347, 904L, N08904, S31254), duplex 2205 (S32205), super duplex 2507 (S32750/S32760); EN 10088-2; JIS G4304.

9. High-strength structural & Cr-Mo heat-resistant
• High-strength: ASTM A514 (Q+T), EN 10025-6 (S690Q/S890Q/S960Q), GB/T 16270 (Q690/Q890/Q960).
• Heat-resistant: SA-387 (Cr-Mo series) for hot-service pressure parts.
10. Nuclear & critical pressure equipment (project-specific)
• Materials: ASME SA-533 (Mn-Mo-Ni, Class 1/2), SA-537 (Cl.1/2); supply per RCC-M if specified.
• Notes: full traceability, stringent UT, specified impact and fracture properties.
